Welcome to Wahib's Home Page Hello! My name is Wahib, i am from Australia, now i am in Lebanon . I was born in Tripoli the north of Lebanon on 14 of october in 1986. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. About my city Tripoli is the second largest city in Lebanon. it is famous for its souks, mosques and other monuments such as the crusader castle which dates back to the medieval times. During the war, they were neglected however they are now being restored.The port area (El Mina) and old-city (on the land side) are the two main parts of Tripoli. In the port area there are many boat rides to the nearby islands. The Old-City has souk areas for cheap shopping offering fascinating views. The Old-City is located slightly inland from the sea. The Citadel of Raymond de Saint-Gilles (The Crusader Castle), is its dominant attraction. It is located on a hill which oversees the Old-City and Nahr Abou Ali (The Kadisha River). At the bottom of the hill, the souks (they are like a maze) are found, then, a little further, there is modern shopping and residential area. The centre of Tripoli is at Sahet et Tall. It is a large square with the clock tower at its centre. There, service taxis, bus stands, cheap eateries and hotels are set up. The Old-City is east of Sahet et Tall whereas the modern centre is west of the square.There are three main avenues (3kms to the west) which lead to el Mina. It has a port area and fishing harbours as well as beaches, nearby islands hotels and restaurants. On the harbourside many people go for walks, rollerblading and excercise while enjoying the spectacular view. A visit to Tripoli is not complete until you visit one of the sweet shops. It is the sweets capital of Lebanon. HERE YOU CAN SEE WHAT I LIKE TO DO i like football and basketball and the most kind of sports i like bikes and snakes and i like english and arabic music and i like singing by music i tought football when i was 3 years old and my uncle tought me this game and i play football in lebanon with MAHABBEH team with the second degree and and i was playing with the principal team of the north and about basketball i tought it for 7 years and im playing with the team of my school and now i left te school and im travinling to australia and i have two sisters and two brotheres and each one of my sisters has a boy and a girl and i like to play on bike and to rent it and make moving on it and i like to make snakes to be with me |
